ENTHUSIASTIC teens aged 13 to 19 are needed for a summer daycamp program for kids aged five to 12 years. The hours are flexible. A DRIVER is meals-on-wheels needed by a program to SUMMER BAND CAMP... The North Vancouver School District is offering a summer band camp, from July 5 to July 11, open to band students in Grades $ through 9, The seven-day camp takes place at the North Vancouver Outdoor School in Paradise Valley on the Cheakamus River, about {5 km. north of Squamish. The outdoor school is equipped with heated cabins, playing fields, an animal farm, a canoe pond, and other recreational facilities. The camp fee of $405 provides a com- plete music and recreation pro- gram, six nights’ accomodation, 19 meals, bus transportation to the camp on the first day, and a camp T-shirt. Enrolment is limited to 90 deliver food containers in the West Vancouver area. The volun- teer must be reliable and able to lift heavy containers. The hours are from 4 to 5 p.m. on Mondays. SEWERS are needed to assist with preparations for a North Shore arts festival in early August. Basic sewing skills and a sewing machine are required. North Shore kids can register for KIDS UNDER 13 have the chance to immerse themselves in the arts this summer by enrolling in the North Vancouver-based Theatricks, Creative Dramatics for Kids. - Participants can revel in the art of mask - and costume-making, makeup, as well as music, games, storytelling and theatre, at North Vancouver Recreation Ceutre Theatricks beginning July 5. “Behind our philosophy is the feeling that children have an in- hate, creative spirit,’’ says instruc- tor Donna-Lea Ford. ‘‘Through creative dramatics, we believe children are able to challenge, empower, and fuel their imagina- tions.” To register for the all-day ses- sions, phone 987-PLAY.
