are creating Web sites

hobby gardeners.

Among the latest to
crop up is miyseasons.com.
The Web site’s
Massachusetts-based creators are calling, this
the most authoritative gardening-lifestyle des-
tination online. Launched in June in partner-
ship with the National Gardening, Association,
the U.S.’s largest not-for-profit educational
and research-based gardening association, the
Web site includes an online database of more
than 17,000 answered questions relating to the
purchase and care of flowers and plants for
your garden. The site has also secured exclusive
online distribution rights to top horticultural

Canadian “e-tailers” are
also going hoe-to-hoe on
the Internet.
In March, Toronto-based
book retailer Indigo
announced its purchase of
Cruickshank’s, one of the
country’s mast established
flower and plant retailers.
Indigo, which will open in Lynn Valley Centre
this fall, estimates that Canadians spend $8 bil-
lion on plants and garden products each year.
An online garden products business through
cruickshank@indigo.ca is planned but not yet
up and running.

Chapters Online, which announced in
January it had acquired Montreal-based gar-
dencrazy.com, has relaunched the site as
villa.ca.

The following enhancements to the AirCare program
take effect Tuesday. September 5, 2000.

ALL-WHEEL DRIVE TESTING

All-Wheel Drive and Traction Control vehicles will
receive a driving test on All-Wheel Drive
dynamometers. Please look for the signs directing your
vehicle to the appropriate Jane.

PRESSURIZED GAS CAP TEST

All vehicles will receive a visual inspection of the
catalytic converter and vehicles that are 1995 or older
will receive a pressurized gas cap check. This gas cap
test ensures thal vapours from the fuel tank are
prevented from escaping into the atmosphere.

AIRCARE STANDARDS (CUT POINTS)

AirCare standards, or cut points, will be adjusted closer
to federally regulated emissions standards for the make
and mode} year of the vehicle. The new AirCare
standard will remain less stringent than the original
design standard of your car. Any vehicle operating
correctly and at normal temperature, should casily pass
the new AirCare standard.
