AS reported in the News: last
week, the $18,500 study concludes
that “trom a technical transportation
viewpoint” the counector should be
built.

"!. News of the report's conclusion
has reignited public debate over the
connector.

Residents and community asso-
ciations on both sides of the contro-
versy have stepped up their lobby-
ing campaigns and deluged council
with their own opinions of the con-
sultant’s study.

Tuesday night's council decision
was interpreted by one spokesman

sultant study and funding the design

Goldsimith-Jones reiterated that
the $100,0C0 was ear-marked as a

‘contingency and would not be spent

time the North Lonsdale Official
Community Plan is adopted, likely
some time in June:
