Bennathan was based in Van-
couver as an independent
choreographer until 1990. when he
was appuinted artistic director of
Dancemakers.

Theatre’s Oxana Dexter. ‘‘l've
always believed in his work so
when I heard he. was directing
something new I was immediately

interested. He’s a very talented
choreographer.”’

Bennathan collaborated with
composer Arne Eigenfeldt and de-
signer Nancy Bryant on Chroni-
cles. The full-length work . ex-
plores memories and dreams, pay-
ing homage to the people who in-
fluence our individual lives.
