especially on opposite sides, and
mushroom-type fungi or abnor-
mal growths.

dead branches and large branches
carrying most of their foliage near
the end.

The Syndicate Biock is histori- —

cally important for the role it
played in the early days of North
Vancouver lire.

It is also in close proximity to
other notable heritage buildings
such as the Aberdeen Block
(where Paine Hardware is
located), the Bank of Hamilton
Chambers, the Wallace shipyards
and Ferry Number Five (the Seven
Seas Restaurant).

These important heritage build-
ings give us a glimpse of North
Vancouver’s early history.
