Previously available only as a limited-production vehicle in California, Lancer Shelby features color-keyed grille, headlight bezels, front and rear air dam, bodyside sill spoilers, and upper and lower liftback spoilers. Dual fog lamps are located in the lower grille area, and the performance-oriented Dodge Lancer Shelby is powered by Chrysler’s potent 2.2-litre, elec- tronically-fuel-injected Turbo II intercooled, turbocharged engine. Lancer Shelby is also equipped with a five-speed Getrag manual transaxle and 15-inch cast aluminum road wheels color-keyed to the Lancer Shelby’s white exte- rior. Dual power remote-controlled heated outside mirrors are also color-keyed to the Shelby’s striking white exterior color. The 1988 Dodge Lancer con- tinues as an upscale, high- technology sports sedan that com- bines sleek, aerodynamic styling with the versatility of a five-door hatchback sedan. The standard Dodge Lancer is again available in two price classes — Dodge Lancer and the perfor- mance-oriented Lancer ES.
