The individeals are owners . of a half-dozen service in- dustry companies that have thrown their lot in with a new franchising operation that has impressive creden- tials behind it. The franchise is Mr. Build and its been out together, in the States and now Canada, by the same man who laun- ched the Century 2! real estate franchise system. The Canadian arm operates out of a Richmond office shared with Century 21 and Triex, the operation that took franchising to the used car market. The: president of the Ca- nadian operation is Richard Simmons, a former lawyer with all the makings of a born salesman. ““Franchising,’’ says Simmons, “is about to hit in a very serious way.”’ The. theory behind Mr.-- Build is similar to that behind the organizations on- ly competition — Dia!
