Though’ not ail _ these competitors are North Shore residents, local clubs, especially the North Shore Winter Club, have a high reputation in the figure skating world and attract many top calibre skaters. Leading the local con- tingent will be Dennis Coi from the Winter Club and Neil Paterson from Court House West, both competing in the sentor men category. in the Western Divisional Championships, second in the B.C. Sectional Cham- pionships, and third. im the men will be Neil Girody from the Winter Club, who finished third in the Western and first in the B.C. sec- tionals. Competing in the senior pairs will be Katherina Matousek and Eric Thom:cn from the Winter Club, who came ffirst in the B.C. Sectional Championships. Other North Shore en- trants: Senior Dance — Tracy Wilson (Winter Club) and Robert McCall (Halifax Figure Skating Club). McCall, with a _ different partner, won the event last year.
