a double loss this month. The
Murrays are perhaps best
known for their colourful
mother,‘Ma’ Murray, found-
er and guiding light behind
the . Bridge-River-Lillooet
News. She lost both her son
Dan and her daughter-in-law
Kathleen (Kathy) in the early
part of this month.

Kathleen Murray was a
librarian at Vancouver Col-
lege at the time of her death.
She passed away on Feb-
ruary 3. Her husband Dan,
age 62, died February 12 at
Vancouver General Hospital.
The funeral service for Kathy
was held February 6 and the
service for Dan will be held

Golf fees unchanged

A group of seniors was
unsuccessful, Monday in its
attempt to have West Van-
couver council lower the cost
of senior golfing at Glen-
eagles Golf Course.

They were interested in
extending the game limit on
their yearly passes.

Council decided to keep
the passes the same as at
present, allowing an 80.

game limit on the yearly $120
pass and a 10-game, limit on
the monthly $27.50 pass.

Municipal manager Terry
Lester said the golf profes-
sional at Gleneagles pointed
out that senior citizens are
receiving ‘‘the right to play
