In that paid column, Liberal candidate Kinsella took the Reform MP to task for his involvement in the Western Canada Concept (WCC) party, and specifically White’s recent comment that the west- ern separatist party is “perfectly legitimate.” Yesterday, Kinsella held a press conference at his Upper Lonsdale constituency office, saying he would not issue an apology. “Mr. White’s lawyer sent me a letter threatening to sue me if I didn’t apologize, pay his legal fees, pay him damages and promise never to raise the subject again,” Kinsella said. “Last night (Wednesday) my lawyer sent him a letter saying no to all of his demands.” But according to White, no lawsuit was mentioned in his lawyer’s letter.
