YOU HAVE to look hard to find
Things Wrapped Up.

While it might be easy to find
things wrapped up under the
Christmas tree, the recently opened
store Things Wrapped Up requires
a Jittle bit of searching.

“We're tucked away in the bot-
tom of an apartment block,"’ ex-
plains manager and owner Dayan-
na Donng. ‘‘People don’t know
that we are here."'

But when people do know about
Things Wrapped Up they just keep
returning to the unique North
Vancouver gift and ladies’ acces-
sory shop on 14th Street.

Things Wrapped Up is a
delightful alternative to the
Christmas shopping crush that
plagues many local shopping areas
this holiday season. Donng’s store
stocks so many different items that
she does not know where to begin.

One of the popular items is a
three-foot-high cloth clown. Small
children can slip their feet into
elastics on the clown’s feet and
duck into the clown’s embrace.
Thus attached, the clown is a
perfect partner for an imaginary
ball.

“They can dance with them,’’
explains Donng.

For the adventurous types, there
is a crocodile bag. Not a real croc-
odile of course.

Things Wrapped Up is located at
152 East 14th Street and is conve-
niently situated next to Lions Gate
Hospital and many items are ideal
gifts for patients.

The store hours are presently i0
a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday to
Saturday. Sunday the store is open
noon to 5 p.m. Donng is consider-
ing extended hours.

“1 have to see what it’s like
first,’’ she says.
