First of the two robberies occurred at the Bank of Montreal at 21 Lonsdale Avenue, in North Van- couver, at about 2:50 p.m. when a man armed with a handgun held up two tellers and stole abeut $2,000. He fled on foot, west- bound on Esplanade and was believed to have a vehicle parked in the area.
