QUESTION: Whar is
happening to our kids these
days? I was waiting for my
wife at one of the depart-
ment stores that kas an
upper. level of uncovered
parking. As J sat in my car
on the lower parking ievel |]
noticed three kids on the
roof and saw them throwing
something down on passing
cars. Whatever it was, when
it landed on a car it seemed
to explode into a big puff of

smoke. It was some sort of
smoke bomb. Naturally it
would scare drivers out of
their gourds. Some of them
stopped and jumped out of
their cars. They had no idea
where this stuff had come
from because by now the
kids were ducked down out
of sight. That's a mean thing
to do, and dangerous too.

What would make kids
behave in that way?

bushes right next to a cycling
path. He would hide there in
waiting until a biker came
along and then he would,
from his hiding place, thrust
out a big heavy stick into the

stop so suddenly that its
rider would go hurtling over

QUESTION: My dad keeps
saying the stupidest thing to
me. He keeps saying I can be
anything I want to be. That's
stupid. But the thing that I
can't understand is that my
dad is not stupid so why does

know — but I sure had fun
