The motion was subsequently amended to include council's concern over the possible promotion of drinking by youths in addition to its original concern with the promotion of graffiti. Council approved the final motion by a vote of 5-1. For its part. Molson Breweries responded by stating that the ad “is not intended-to condone or encourage the defacement property; simply to portray a new and legitimate art form which is rather unique... “This series. of ads has run its course and been replaced by a new campaign,” Molson’s vice president of public affairs.
