Garrett Brown, visiting the area from Alberta, tumbled 20 feet down a stecp embank- ment near a pool, but only suffered cuts, bruises and a twisted ankle. North Vancouver District Fire Department, North Van- couver RCMP and B.C. Am- bulance Service personnel rushed to the scene to find the youth lying injured beside the tiver. Said North Vancouver am- bulance attendant Glen Wilson: ‘tHe was climbing around, slipped, fell to the river and hit some rocks. It was a steep embankment.” Brown was placed on a back-board and transported down river in an inflatable yescue raft, where he was transferred to an ambulance and taken to Lions Gate Hos- pital.
