SCHOOL BEGINNERS’ HEALTH FAIR Program prepares preschoolers GET YOUR child ready for kindergarten in the fall through a program being offered by the North Shore Health Department. Ready, Set, Go school begin- ners’ health fair will provide a fun way for four- to six-year-olds to learn about healthy lunches, good dental practices, have their vision screened and receive their school boosters. The health fairs will be held at three locations in North Van- couver. On Tuesday, June 13, the first fair will be conducted at Canyon Heights Elementary School, 4501 Highland Blvd. On Monday, June 19, Ridgeview Elementary at 410 E. 8th St. will be the host school, and on Tues- day, June 20 a fair will be held at Burrardview Elementary, 1475 Deep Cove Rd. All fairs will be open from 1:30 to 7 p.m. and parents are urged to bring a record of previous im- munizations. No appointment is necessary. The purpose of the fairs is to in- crease the number of children im- munized against diptheria, per- tussis, tetanus and polio before schoolentry.
