Dear Editor:

Considering the high proportion of taxpayers who
are also licenced dog owners, isn’t it time the city and
district provided them with a place where they can
walk their animals without a leash?

The majority of dog owners are responsible people
with friendly animals, who are mindful of their pet's
behavior. To have the dog constantly restrained by a
leash is no joy to either pet or master.

Grand Boulevard used to be a place to enjoy walk-
ing with your dog. No Songer is it so, with all the
restrictions now imposed.

Surely there’s a piece of wasteland somewhere on
the North Shore, which could be donated to man’s
best friends and those who love and care for them.
