Art awards presented
at Festival Reception

A GLAMOROUS social evening
— the Festival Reception Sept. 10
at Park Royal --- is yet another
highlight of West Vancouver's
five-day Coho Festival Sept. 7 to
iH.

Hosted by West Vancouver
Community Arts Council and Park
Royal Shopping Centre, it focuses
arourd the juried Coho Art Show
and the presentation of awards to
the three winners.

But the impressive art exhibition

is not all. There’s a salmon buffet,
refreshments, entertainment, door
prizes and the draw for the grand
prize — a weekend for two at Har-
rison Hot Springs.

Judging by fast year’s reception,
reception-goers can expect to meet
and mingle with North Shore poli-
ticians, civic dignitaries, communi-
ty leaders and local celebrities.

Tickets at $25 per person are still
available through the festival of-
fice at 926-6600 or the Arts Coun-
cil at 922-1110.

writing, deals with writing reports,
memoranda and business letters,
and is required for business
management programs and useful
for anyone who must write on the

Section 1 meets Thursday even-
ings from 6:39 to 9:30 p.m., from
Sept: 8 to Dec. 15.

Communications 170, public

speaking, covers speaking to small
and large groups, including
meetings and interviews. Student
presentations are videotaped for
discussion and analysis.

The class meets Monday even-
ings, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., in the Col-
lege Dynamics Lab from Sept. 12
to Dec. 12.
