At that time it was called Mobile Meats. VOLUNTEFRS IMPORTANT Today there are between 300 and 350 volunteers. Smith, who helps order supplies and visits applicants for the ser- vice, said people can apply for the service by calling 922-3414 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m She said clients range from young people who are ill to resi- dents as old as 90. Clients who use the service are requested to pay $3 per meal. Meals on Wheels is a registered charitable society, and is funded in part by a grant from the Ministry of Health.
