A man who felt sorry for
himself because of his wife
leaving him led police on a
140 km.h drive from North
Vancouver over Second
Narrows’ Bridge and
eventually crashed in
Vancouver, North Van
Provincial Court heard last
week.

Winston William Mc-
Muldrock, aged 38, pleaded
guilty to driving with a
blood-alcohol level ex-
ceeding .08 and to
dangerous driving.

Crown counsel Eric
Watson said a police officer
on radar duty in North Van
December December 16
began following Mc-
Muldrock’s Dodge pickup
while it was travelling
eastward because it was
speeding.

He chased the truck over
Second Narrows Bridge, at
one time clocking it at 140
km.h, Watson said.

As the truck approached
Cambridge street, the driver
lost control, it swerved to
the right and crashed off an
abuttment. At one time the
truck went over onto its side

McMuldrock showed

Counsel for the defence
told court that McMuldrock,
married with two children
and a newborn baby, lives in
Mission but has worked in
North Vancouver for 10
years.

His wife had left him
about three weeks before the
