The national organization was formed “to provide accu- rate information, education, networking and representation for all those with an interest in herbs,” said the co-chair of the society’s ad-hoc steering com- mittee, Joyce Shackleton. “With the growing public interest in both cultivated and wild-crafted herbs, the need for a unifying national herb society has become more and more apparent,” added the West Vancouver resident.
