Khan faced the charge in connection
with the death of his daughter-in-law,
Naazish Khan, 23.

Khan was handed a life sentence with
no eligibility of parole for 10 years.

According to the Criminal Code of
Canada, the minimum time to be served is
10 years for second-degree murder. The
maximum time served prior to parole eli-,
gibility is 25 years. ;

“Em relieved.” said prosecutor Allan
Flanz as he left the courtroom. .

The 11-member jury deliberated fo
one day before reaching its decision.

The body of Naazish Khan, a former
model from Bombay, was found in the -
trunk of Khan's Toyota Camry on Dee. 11,
