Church hosts singles banquet

NORTH SHORE Alliance
Church is hosting a Singles
Christmas Banquet on Friday,
Nov. 29 at 7 p.m.

The annual event, which is
sponsored by a group within
the church called Single People
In Christian Endeavor
(SPICE), will include a

Christmas dinner, singalongs
and entertainment by Darrel
Schultz and the Heartland
Band.

Tickets cost $15 and are
available at the church, which
is located at 201 East 23rd St.
in North Vancouver. For more

Hamilton House

HAMILTON HOUSE, 3321

Fromme Rd., was built in 1911-

1912 and is an example of a sec-

ondary heritage building in the
* North Vancouver District.

The name Hamilton refers to
the original owner of the house.
This unique stone house was built
by Mr. A. Hamilton, a bricklayer,
for his family, and is one of the
earlier houses built in the Lynn
Valley area.

Constructed of local granite, the
house is stili in perfect condition.
The inset front porch is
highlighted with a pedimented
gable and tapered columns, show-
ing a craftsman's influence; the
lintels over the structural openings
are unusual for being composed
of small pieces of stone.
