AN INTERVIEWER with good people skills is needed to interview volunteers and refer them to agencies for volunteer oppor- tunities. Knowledge of community services is considered an asset, however training will be provided. The hours are from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. A VICTIM'S assistance aide who has good English language skills, no criminal record and is older than 21 years of age, is needed to talk with victims of crisis and give them home security information over the phone. The hours are flexible and a four-hour training workshop is held mon- thly. AN OU CH Youth Pro- unteers who are I9 years of age and older to work with youths. SUPERVISORS are needed to assist with teen activities at a drop-in centre. The hours are flex- ible. A CANOEIST with 2 Flatwater One certificate is wanted to lead and supervise a group of youths Public can comment on Crippen THE PUBLIC is invited to com- ment on a revised Crippen Regional Park Concept Plan and Land Use Summary at an open house on Sunday, Oct. 13. Established in 1983, the 240- hectare park on Bowen Island is one of 16 regional parks owned and operated by the Greater Van- couver Regional District (GVRD). GVRD Parks staff have up- dated the draft i988 concept plan by incorporating a number of reports, including the Killarney Lake Environmental Inventory and Assessment for Recreational Use (1989), the Snug Cove Picnic Area and Development Plan (1990), and the Snug Cove Village Plan (1991). Public feedback will assist staff in finalizing the concept plan for presentation to the GVRD Park Committee in early 1992. The public is also welcome to discuss other park-related issues with GYRD Parks staff at the open house, to be held from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Union Steamship Company Store.
