As is obvious from the letters to
the editor of the North Shore News
on March 19, readers either love or
hate Doug Collins. ~

I happen to be one of the major-
ity of your readers who admires his
ability. to present factual informa-
tion — sometimes tongue-in-cheek
— which makes his column so en-
. joyable,

Sick of ‘wimpishness

Dear Editor:

I congratulate Mr. Collins for
his excellent article on the way
“Harry,”’ the prime minister of
Singapore, shows some real genu-
ine leadership in Properly
tegulating their immigration.

No wimpishness there. I’m sick
to the eyeballs with it here.

Firefighters

Dear Editor:

The members of Firefighters
Locals #914 (North Vancouver Ci-
ty), #1183 (North Vancouver
District) and #1525 (West Van-
couver) wish to publicly thank the
staff and students of the senior
secondary schools of the North
Shore for their participation and
help in staging the First Annual
North Shore Firefighters Senior

Norta Shore News withdraw their
ads, they cannot be serious. It
takes me an average of 20 minutes
to read the ‘Evening Wimp.”’ Our
North Shore paper takes me an
hour after first reading Collins, the
editorial and the letters to the edi-
tor.

It was noteworthy that many of
the letters came from addresses far
from the North Shore, e.g.
Hamilton, Ont., Nova Scotia,
Delta, Richmond. There has to be
a reason — Doug Collins.

I thank my God for a man like
Doug Collins,

I've told some Sikhs to their
faces that they should not import
their Indian wars into our country.
We have enough problems of our
own,

Thanks Doug. Keep it up.
