fight. Not that he is alone in

The whole thing is a joke,
and Pattison is the court
jester, because only a clown
would make the statements
he has been making. Who
can take the guy seriously
when he says he didn’t know

know, he was the only one in
town who was in such sweet
ignorance. People can go to
jail for not knowing what
their companies are doing, so
come off it Jimmy. And now,
not wanting anything to do
with such nasty stuff, he says

The man has had the worst
of all worlds in this fracas.
He has not pleased his critics,

of a similar kind elsewhere in
the country, if the critics in
question are to be believed.
He also leaves himself oper
to charges of hypocrisy, -.id

up some sort of Porn Review

You're not embarrassing
anyone except yourself, Jim-

Don't blame the staff

Dear Editor:

It was with great dismay
that | read the letter you
published from Joy Gilmore
— Wednesday, May 2. While
we all have to agree that the
physical conditions which ex-
ist in the North Vancouver
SPCA are not as desirable as
those of the new West Van-
couver SPCA, the staff of
North Van SPCA are not to
blame.

I personally have found the
‘‘gentlemen’’ who staff our
facility to be kind, con-
siderate and very conscien-
tious. Over the past 12 years
when | have had occasion to
use their services I have
always been very impressed
by their capable and profes-
sional attitude, towards
myself, my family and the
animals concerned.

If Joy Gilmore does not
approve of the facilities, why
does she not put her money
where her mouth is and begin
a campaign to raise the
money to improve our SPCA
facilities.
