District deputy
fire chief dies

The deputy fire chief of
North Vancouver District
passed away on the weekend
at Lions Gate Hospital,
following lengthy illness.

Ken E. Beisiege!, aged 44,
joined the fire department in
1966 following a career in
the RCMP. He had been
deputy chief since 1977.

He is survived by his wife,

Iris, and 13-year-old son
Darrin.
