THE Infiniti 130 is not
as well-known as other
“near | ™ cars such
as the Lexus ES300,
Audi A4, Mercedes-
Benz C-Class, BMW 3-
Series, Acura 3.2TL
and Toyota Avalon, but
it bears scrutiny if
you’re interested in this
type of car.

Why? Because the 130 is
reomier than most of its
rivals, and has one of the best
V6 engines in the world, at
least according to the influen-
tial U.S. auto publication,
Ward’s Auto World.

surprise —- cheaper. The 1999
Infiniti 130 was $41,950, or
about $2000 more than the
2000 130.

The new 130 is 104 mm
(4.1 inches) longer, 15 mm
(0.6 in. wider), 20 mm (0.8
in.) taller, with a 51 mm (2
in.) longer wheelbase. Interior
space has grown by 0.7 cubic
metres (2.4 cubic feet) and
trunk space by 0.02 cu. m
(0.8 ca. ft.). This is particular-
ly noticeable in the rear seat
where passengers have almost
two inches more legroom.

seat headroom and legroom.
