The cook-off takes place at Waterfront Park, located just west of the Seabus terminal in North Vancouver, on Sunday, July 21, from noon to 4 p.n. Each year as many as 25 teams strive to create the best baich of creamy clam chow- der. Five years ago the com- mittee began the tradition of recruiting artists to sketch each team so that team mem- bers would have w reward for their efforts. Each artist is required to draw or paint two teams. Forty-five minutes is allotted per team. The artist will receive a $40 honorarium and a festival T-shirt.
