house sitting agency and
there's little likelihood that I
will in the future.

If you've got it in your
mind to take on the job
consider .the facts that
people want sitters with
some skills. Can you cherish
exotic house plants? Wht do
you know about tropical
fish? Can you speak fluent
“Miow”? Does a puppy give
you an attack of hives?

People with = sterile
apartments don't need house
sitters. It's people like me

with plants, pets and pools
who need help. I'd be ready
to kill someone who let one
of my cats get sick without
rushing it to the vet. It may
not seem important fo you
but I've been nursing an
ailing plant for six months
and if I arrived home to
greet a corpse — animal or
vegetable — be prepared.

were a pair of wrecks.

pressure attitude, later that
evening when we USED the
dinner coupons at the
Riverside Hotel in Reno, we
were horrified to find that
the same teams of salesmen
were prowling around,

anxious to start again. We
gobbled our meal and fled.
