The silver or grey-colored Mazda was travelling north when it hit the man, described as being in his late 20s. On Friday, a 13-year-old girl was hit at the intersec- tion of Larson Road and Westview Drive. The driver was a Caucasian female in a metallic blue Honda or Acura. The driver is described as being 45 to 55 years old. She had blond hair with streaks of white or grey. There was a female passenger in the car. The bear family had also been spotted in the area the day before, according to West Vancouver Police. The bears were tranquilized at about 1:30 p.m. because police and censervation officers had concerns about the safety of school children in the area. The animals were slated for relocation in a wilderness locale. A conservation officer said in an earlier News report that some bears don’t survive after relocation.
