the Year prize at Joe Martin’s
Howe Street Awards last Wednes-
day night at the Hyatt was, as ex-
pected, Murray Pezim. Between
Eskay Creek, Mark Gastineau and

Most touching pan of the gala
evening, however, was the tribute
organized by co-chairman Yvonne
Reynolds, who looked stunning in
a slim, deep green satin gown, and
banker and ballet enthusiast, Nick
Massee, in memory of one of the
good guys in the business, the late
Angus ‘’Gus’” McPhail. It was a
dedication of Ballet B.C.‘s produc-
tion of “Variations on a Nursery
Song,” to perpetuate his memory.

Adding to the evening's enter-
tainment were the songs of Kenny
Colman and North Van's Cuddles
johnson Trio.

While the handsome head of
Pineridge Capital, Harry Moll, was
there with a tableful of male
friends, his adorable Susy wasn’t!
She had a bout with the flu and
iust didn’t feel up to it! ... But it
was good to see P.R. man Jack Lee
who’s been so low-profile lately!

Just prior to the Howe Street
Awards, it was the gala launch
party for the Aquilini family’s neve
Coast Atrium Inn on Hastings.
That very glamorous brunetie,
who makes regular appearances
on the Thursday editions of TV’s
“Entertainment Tonight,” the
Properties’ Dusty Martell, was on
hand, looking very pretty in a
cream wool pant suit and violet
ribbon in her hair, holding hands
with her husband, Francesco
Aquilini.

They arrived at the party in
Francesco’s newest aquisition, a
white Lamborghini Countach

of France, Daniel hopes to have
the new French Con. General,
Bernard Ledun, attend.

Is lzzard as popular as ever? The
answer to that is that three paint-
ings, only shown so far on his in-
vitation to the private reception,
have already been sold!

Finally, congratulations go out to
Ed Keate, Downtown Parking
Corp’s top man, on being elected
