the genuine hot-food hound.
Overall, however, the meal was a
delicious departure from well-worn

Under normal circumstances,
the mammoth Dungeness would
have been enough for two. But
after a hard day on toddler patrol,
my wife's appetite was at full
throttle. The poor beast didn't
stand a chance.

A lap around the Boathouse
salad bar confirmed the basic
Strength and quality of that Keg
institution.

With reservations now accepted
at the Bay Boathouse Restaurant,
a trip from distant corners of
North Vancouver and other Lower
Mainland locales need not be a
race to beat the line-ups — open
every night for dinner and opening
for lunch and brunch at the end of
April.
