These important members of our community need your help. - West Vancouver merchants will have lost approximately $25 million in retail sales due to Sunday store closures in 1985. That figure becomes even more important ~ when you consider it as a loss felt by the entire community. Today, West Vancouver is the only municipality in Greater Vancouver where residents are not permitted to shop on Sundays. Before you vote on November 16, please make sure you know the facts: FACT: Potential tax assessment dollars will be lost, due to a decline in the property x values of retai!-commercial land if retailers are not allowed to open on Sundays. This could result in homeowners being responsible for an increasingly greater portion of the municipal budget. FACT: Without Sunday Shopping, ‘Millions of dollars in retail wages will be lost each year. FACT: There will be a great loss of | potential employment opportunities, _ especially for young people.
