stores across the line in Washington for

enjoy the same privilege?

trees by people who have cut
them down for firewood,

Collier thinks the firewood
gatherers may even have
been unaware that they were
on private property and that
clearcutting has been
outlawed in West Vancouver
for reasons of landscaping
and drainage problems.

The owners of the
development were unaware
of the cutting until the past
week, but which time the
situation had got out of
hand.

Colher comments: “I think ;
we've got it in time that the
development will not be
perfectly bald, although in
one or two places the lot has
been pretty well decimated.”

Most of the trees were
third and fourth generation
alder which Collier thinks
future residents of the
development would
eventually have wanted cut
