Vancouver students.

Starting this month, quali-
fying students take one semes-
ter of BCIT’s automotive ser-
fice technician program in
Grade 11 and another in
Grade 12.

After graduating from
high school, those students
can go directly into the sec-
ond and finai year of the pro-
gram at BCIT’s Burnaby cam-
pus.

“For students this is like a
two-for-one deal,” says Lane
Trotter, BCIT’s dean of trans-
portation programs. “This
approach has tremendous
advantages.
