Last Saturday — several members of the squad assem- bled in a barren clearing to complete the field portion of helicopter flight rescue train- ing. The five-hour session took place near the four-kilo- metre mark of the Seymour Demonstration Forest’ roast with the participation of nwo helicopters. “Today is the start of many training sessions to come,” said team leader Tim Jones. “It’s gonna take a lot of train- ing beyond this.
