will show Guess had an affair
with Preet Sarbjit Gill, also
known as Peter Gill, during his
1995 murder trial, Gill was out
on bail at the time. Guess was a
juror at the trial,

Six of her fellow jurors are
expected to testify in the land-
mark case.

At the pre-trial hearing,
Guess’s lawyer, Peter Ritchie,
said he was forced to rely on
English law from the 16th centu-
ry to find a case that involved
alleged wrongdoings by a jury
member. Gill and five co-accused
were acquitted in October 1995
after an eight-month trial in the
deaths of Ron and Jimmy
Dosanjh.

Council backs demolition of three Hollyburn Ridge retreats

DESPITE an appeal to West Vancouver council,
Ken Harper appears to have lost a bid to save two
of the eight municipally owned cabins located on
Hollyburn Ridge.

“Ir seems a waste of the city of West Vancouver’s money to spend
$10,000 to demolish these cabins,” said Diane Mueller.

Mueller, who occupies one of the cabins scheduled for demolition, stands
firmly behind Ken Harper and his fight for a reprieve.

Mueller said that she is more than willing to pay for the cost af upkeep

all repairs completed by Oct. 30, 1996, .
