Fall heel heights vary

FASHION WILL have its share of
ups and downs this fall...regarding
hemlines and heel heights, that is.

According to experts at a major
shoe store, fall footwear em-
phasizes classic, sophisticated sil-
houettes with a variety of heel
heights.

Styles run the gamut from
elegant, feminine silhouettes in
mid and high heels to classic man-
tailored looks in flats, to footnote
teady-to-wear’s many options, in-
cluding short skirts, long skirts and
pants.

Also forecast is a fall shoe color
palette that is as multifaceted as
the season’s hemlines and heel
heights. Lush jewel tones such as
black onyx, ruby red, sapphire
blue and pearly white, sunbaked
earthtones of bottle green,
chestnut brown and berries and
cool winter neutrals of icy silver-
white, pale beige and grey offer a
strong fashion message.
