Family service supporter retires

BETTY JANE Norris, ex-
eculive director of North
Shore Family Services Socie-
ty for the past four years, will
be leaving her pos.tion April
30.

Norris, who holds a
masters degree in social work

from U.B.C.,-has enjoyed a
wide experience which has in-
cluded social work with the
Cancer Control Agency, and
a lengthy period of service
with North Shore Family Ser-
vices, both as a counsellor,
and as executive director of

the agency. Norris was in-
strumental in developing the

Education and Volunteer.

Her contribuuion to social
work has been greatly valued

and her executive expertise
has enabled North Shore
Family Services Society to
further the aim of strengthen-
ing and supporting families
and single people in our
community.
