FORMER skiing

champion Jim Milina has

launched a lawsuit claiming damages for the

accident that left him crippled while he was skiing
on the Labatts freestyle team in Toronto last

October.

Milina, who grew up in
North Vancouver and was a
student of Argyle Secondary
School, launched the suit in

his own name last week,

filing his statement of claim
shortly after his 19th bir-
thday.

The Paraplegic
Association is working out
cost projections likely to be
incurred by Milina during
the rest of his life as a result
of the accident at the indoor
exhibition: which broke his
back.

His father, Tony Milina,
says Jim made the decision
to sue because of in-
formation which has since
come to light concerning the

classes and hopes to go into
computers, depending on his
own progress.
