ONE OF the best parts of the 1996
B.C. Winter Games will come right
at the start.

Over 5,000 people are expected
to attend the opening ceremonies at
Lonsdale recreation centre at 6 r.in.
on Thursday, Feb. 22...

The ceremony, expected to run
until 9:30 p.m., will: kick-off the
first-ever B.C, Winter Games to be
held in the Lower Mainiand.

Due to the expected size of the
crowd at the opening czvemonies,

several streets in the area of the
Lonedale recreation centre will be
restricted oy manned. barricades..
Intzisections affected include:

-— Eastern Ave. and 21 St.

—— St. Georges Ave. and 22 St.

~— Lonsdale Ave. and 23 St.

-— St. Georges Ave. and 24 St.

-— St. Andrews Ave. and 23 St.

In addition, parking will be pro-
hibited between 6 and 9:30 p.m. on
