bears. One day Ron said to

his sons, “We love toys

so much, let's open a

store stuffed with

nothing but toys.”

“Yes, let's,” his sons said excitedly.
“We'll. stock the best of the best, with top quality
‘toys Michael said... ;
“And,” Brett added, “because we love bear
toys'the most, let’s specialize i in all things
‘bear’.”
So they cr eated: the Bears logo rep-
_ resenting the three of them. In:
1983, on Bellevue Avenue in
West Vancouver, Ron and his
‘sons opened Bears Toy CaN
Store. Soon, he was
_ known far and wide as
‘Papa Bear and his two.
‘sons as the Little Bears.

out with an old tele-. ¢
phone set, a barber a
chair ‘and a special
train table for all the kids

volkswagen into “The Toy Truck” and had an
artist create an award winning design which was
painted on the van with the words “ follow me to
Bears Toy Store” and powered by Bears.”
