THE KIWANIS Club of Evergreen in North Van-
couver was privileged to share in the financial
resources for the Special Care Garden developed for
Alzheimer’s residents at Cedarview Intermediate Care
Lodge in North Vancouver.

A donation of $2,000 was made from the income of
its Mammoth Garage Sale held in May at the North
Vancouver Curling Club.

Garden gets financial boost

Stan George were also influential in encouraging the
philanthropic Vancouver Foundation to grant $14,000
and two very generous anonymous donors to grant
$13,000.

The Special Care Garden is a worthy project to br-
ing improved quality of life to some very handicapped
people. Members of the Kiwanis Club plan to offer
volunteer service in various ways at the Lodge.
