the Federation of University Women, North Van-
couver branch.

Part of an international organization, the club is
committed to education and participation in all
aspects of community life with a special focus on
women’s issues.

Membership is open to all women who hold an ac-
credited Canadian or forcign university degree as
recognized by the International Federation of Univer-
sity Women.

The ciub meets on the second Thursday of each
month at 7 p.m. in the social room of Highlands

meeting and a guest speaker. . :

In addition, there are numerous interest groups In-
cluding social bridge, duplicate bridge, investment,
community affairs, creative writing, art appreciation,
education study, and conversational French. New in-
terest groups evolve as ideas are put forward.

Any woman eligible to join the club is invited to at-
tend the first meeting of the 1988-89 year on Thurs-
day, Sept. 8 at 7 p.m.
