The host NSWC team has already clinched. a playoff berth with a current record of 20 wins, 5 losses, and 3 ties for 43 points. Since Christmas, the team has recorded wins against White Rock (7-1), Surrey (11-1), PoCo (12-0), South Delta (7-3), Kerrisdale (5-3), Grandview (9-6), Chilliwack (6-4), Langley (9-2) and Burnaby Minor (6-4) and one loss against Rich- mond (7-4). In late January, the team travel- led to Kelowna and finished third in the Pepsi-Coia Internaticnal Tournament. tn round-robin play, NSWC tied Saskatchewan’s Notre Dame Greyhounds 7-7, beat Victoria Racquet Club 6-2, tied Burnaby W.C, 4-4 and annihilated Kamloops 15-3. In the semi-finals,NSWC lost to THE NORTH Shore Winter Club (NSWC) Petite A’s defeated Howe Sound 5-3 in Jan. 24 ringette ac- tion. It was a close contest, but Danielle Emmrich kept NSWC in the game with her solid goalten- ding. The Petites turned around and overwhelmed their Delta counter- parts 13-6 Jan. 27. Sarah Bakk scored her second hat trick for the season, with the balance of the scoring done by Emily Davidson, Sarah Goodman, Niko! Heatherington, Susan Alex- ander and Jenny Maclean. The NSWC Jr. Belle A’s did not fare as well, In a closely fought game, Jan. 29, North West Van clipped the Belles 5-4. . Tracy Minions and Janine O’Hara both scored two goals for the NSWC club. Penalties took their toll on the NSWC Jr. Belle ‘‘A’’s Feb. 1 as PeCo tripped up the NSWC team 10-2.
