CTi offers courses on listening skills throughout the year. Empathic listening requires the listener to put aside his own issues for a short time while he sincerely tries to understand the words and feelings of the other person. And reflective listening involves the listener reflecting or paraphrasing what the other person has said. CTI provides training opportunities and instructional materials on conflict resolution and personal counselling skills. The aim of the institute, which is based in North Vancouver, is not to eliminate conflict but to utilize its positive potential and to apply prac- tical principles and skills to inter-personal, inter-group and international relations. The institute was founded by Dan Keeran, who has 10 years of profes- sional experience in conflict training. For more information call 929-7194, hea ring loss?
