New aid for disabled THE North Shore Association for the - Mentally Handicapped (NSAMHB) has recently established the Family - Services. Program to help aging families and their adult children with a developmental disability. The program provides information and referral resources. to families via a variety of services including developing future plans in the areas of living, employ- ment and support options, retirement and financial plan- ning and personal networks. Joy Hayden recently joined the association as manager of Family Services within the community and resource development department. Hayden’s experience as a residential care worker, assis- tant manager and manager at Barlynn House gives her a broad-based knowledge of NSAMH and other commu- nity services. Her volunteer experience includes activity as president of PA.C.T.S. — (Parents Association for Children’s Therapies and Services), and membership with the steer- ing committee to North Shore Health Region and the reference committee that developed the structure for the Advisory Committee for People with Disabilities (North Shore — Health Region).
