Arthur Griffiths, president and
EO of Northwest Sports, was
recently named the winner of the
1994 Vancouver AM Wake-up
Award.

The award is presented annually
to an individual who has made an
outstanding contribution to the
tourism industry of Vancouver.

Griffiths’ coup of securing an
NBA team for Vancouver, the
Grizzlies, in addition to the con-
struction of a new downtown
arena, were moves that have
“added a whole new dimension to
the attraction of Vancouver for out-
of-town visitors.”

Griffiths will receive the award
at a ceremony on Friday at the Pan
Pacific Hotel.

latest taxation statistics, which pro-
vides a summary of informaticn found
in individual income tax returns
processed for the 1992 taxation year.
