A North Shore food bank volunteer, David Foster, is proposing the devel- opment of ‘‘the North Shore Harvzst,’’ a community- based service program that will operate solely on the donations and services provided by Neri Shore resi- dents. If successful in getting the project off the ground, Foster hopes to make the ‘‘Nortk Shore Harvest’? a model system for communities taking a stand on pro- viding help for their own needy residents. AP Should food and goods donated on the North Shore stay here? McCredie isrgaret Csapo Norti: Vancouver I think if you donate something it should stay here on the North Shore. Because we live here, our donations should go di- rectly to the area where we spend the most time. ea Lozi Collinson North Vancouver 1 think everybody throughout the Lower Mainland needs help. | don’t think there should be divisions, where one community gets more than another. Robert Poweit North Vancouver Donated goods should be used for the North Shore. There is a definite need over here, as much as in other cormmunities, and | think if you give here it should stay here. Judy Gustafson North Vancouver I believe charity begins at home. Anything donated for the needy on the North Shore should stey here, because charity is a direct reflection of a community’s caring.
